White Bean Hummus



  • Hummus is an easy, inexpensive, and healthy snack to prepare for a crowd. By creating a simple base recipe and stocking up on optional add-ons, you can make a big hummus sampler sure to please everyone!
White Bean Hummus

Ingredients:

  • 1 (15-oz) can cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Pita chips (for serving)
  • Sliced veggies (for serving)
Optional Toppings:
  • Additional olive oil
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Flat-leaf parsley
  • Sun dried tomatoes
  • Roasted red pepper
  • Feta
  • Pine nuts
  • Prepared pesto

Preparation:

  1. Add the beans, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper to the bowl of a food processor and blend until smooth. Portion your hummus between different bowls, and top each with a different topping. Feel free to mix and match. Serve with the pita chips and sliced veggies.
