12 regular lasagna noodles
6 cups potatoes, diced
2 cups bakers cottage cheese
1 egg
1 medium onion, diced
5 Tablespoon butter
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

Directions
- Cook potatoes and noodles separately. Drain and set aside.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan.
- In a medium size frying pan, heat 2 tablespoon butter and sauté the onions until they are transparent.
- Mash the potatoes, Add cottage cheese, egg, cooked onions and 3 tablespoon butter, mix together well.
- Layer noodles alternately with potato mixture. Sprinkle cheese over top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes.
- Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting into squares to serve.
