Bacon Green Beans


Bacon Green Beans
Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 to 2 Pounds Green Beans, washed, ends trimmed
  • 6 slices of raw bacon chopped
  • 1 lemon wedge
  • black pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Place chopped bacon into a frying pan and cook until crispy
  2. Remove bacon and set aside on a plate lined with paper towel
  3. Discard all but 1 tablespooon (approx.. this doesn’t have to be exact) of bacon drippings
  4. Turn heat to medium
  5. Add Green Beans to pan and cook until they are lightly browned, stirring occasionally (about 8 minutes)
  6. Remove from heat, squeeze lemon wedge over beans, toss with bacon and cover
  7. Let sit 5 minutes and serve hot
