In a sauce pan on a low flame 2 oz. butter, 2 oz. flour, 1 pint of milk, tsp salt, 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg. Combine butter and flour, stirring constantly then add milk slowly . Continue stirring and add salt and nutmeg. Sauce is done when it has reached a pudding like density. take off flame ….
